Fundraising

The School and Community Association is our parent fundraising group with the responsibility for liaising with the community to organize fund raising activities. This group welcomes new and interested parents and caregivers who are keen and willing to lend a hand with organizing discos, book fairs, sausage sizzles and popcorn sales etc. Meetings are held monthly. Contact the school office if you are interested in being part of this very friendly association.

Fees - Learning and Teaching Resource Contribution and Paper Levy

The Ministry of Education’s operations funding is insufficient to cover the cost of playground equipment and resources to provide desirable learning opportunities for the children of Maungatapu school, therefore the Board of Trustees invites you to contribute by way of a Learning and Teaching Resource Contribution and a Paper Levy (usually referred to as School Fees).

These are optional contributions but one which the school really appreciates receiving. Learning and Teaching Resource Contributions are $60.00 per child per year, with a maximum of $150.00 per family and can be paid at the school office. The Paper Levy is $12.00 per child per year.

These Learning and Teaching Contributions go towards providing resources for our students. In 2012, we will continue focusing on building up developmental resources for our junior pupils, extending the range of computer and information technology resources for all pupils, and purchasing additional sports equipment and sports uniforms to maintain the high level of physical activity within our school.

The Paper Levy assists our School to offset costs of providing regular information newsletters throughout the school year. It also assists our school to meet the costs of photocopied resources and materials used to support teaching and learning programmes.
