Cross Country Stars

14 June 2018 • School News • Sport

On Thursday the  top seven boys and girls cross country runners from year 4 – 6 headed to Waipuna Park to compete in  South Cluster . We were competing against other schools, there was Saint Mary’s, Welcome Bay, Selwyn Ridge and Tauranga Primary.

The track was very long on grass and concrete. The hardest bit was running up a big soapy hill and climbing over a tall  wooden wall. It was much harder than our course!

A few people will be representing our school at the West Cluster competition on Wednesday the 20th of June because they came in the top five. Those people are:
Kingston Abraham – Year 4 boy
Rhayn Taikato – Year 4 boy
Laura Nuku – Year 5 girl
Denzel Lapwood – Year 6 boy
Skylar Sargisson – Year 6 girl

Middle School Swimming Sports

5 April 2018 • Sport

On Wednesday the 21st of March all the year 3-4 children did swimming sports. It was a sunny hot day and everybody enjoyed the swimming sports. There was a Spongebob race, a noodle race, a boogie board race, a flutter board race and the freestyle. The middle school kids were separated into year three boys, year three girls, year four boys and year four girls. While they weren’t swimming , they were doing other activities around the school with teachers. With Miss Dew and Matua Tama they did some water relays on the junior field. On the senior field Mr Alsop was running a game of soccer. Mrs Eagleson was on the court doing different fun activities. Everyone had a really fun day at swimming sports!
